Promised

Promised questions form as a basis for the making of the work of art.  Consisting of low grade 2 x 3 plywood planks and standard issue hardware, Promised resists categories of interpretation through its irony, and sleights against earnest construction.  The work can be presented in two different ways; either leaning against the wall with material wrapped as if for transport, or assembled as a pyramid, then upturned according to the instructions which accompany the piece.
